12 on 12

… the number of Sunflowers Mark gave me for our 12th Anniversary

…. the number of times I’ve moved the dishes in the kitchen

…. the number of ladybugs at the “lady bug” picnic

…. the smallest number with exactly six divisors

…. the number of sides on a dodecagon

…. the number of people we had at our last birthday parties

…. the day of the month when Claire will be 8 months old

…. the atomic number of magnesium

…. the number of red roses Mark gave me for our 12th Anniversary

…. the number of daisies Mark gave me for our 12th Anniversary

…. the number of mum’s Mark gave me for our 12th Anniversary.

    Are you seeing a pattern?

…. the number of yellow roses Mark gave me for our 12 Anniversary.

12 is the number of years I have been grateful for Mark.  (February 24, 2008)

A direct quote…

Today at our CoOp, Wilson was helping one of the other moms load her materials back into her car. She said something to him about things moms make their kids do, and about how he was being a good sport. He turned around to her and (with a straight face) said, “Yeah, but the worst is when she dresses me up in girl clothes and makes me go to girlie parties, eww.” Exit stage left. “Ha ha ha…”, he mutters under his breath.

Now, keep in mind I’ve never dressed him like a girl, or encouraged it. My friend, Lisa, was amazed at how quickly he came up with this…. and even more amazed by his creativity. It just goes to show you I’ve been right all along. Wilson really is an 80-year-old man trapped in the body of a six-year-old.

Midweek Shuffle…

Truth be told…..I’ll let you in on a little secret. I listened to Rob Thomas and STYX twice. Shhhh….. I’m sure that didn’t mess with the random nature of the shuffle.

It’s a regular party here, with hats and all.

Easy Dinner Tonight…

This is an easy and tasty dinner that everyone will enjoy. Brought to you by the people at Kraft, I tried this one twice before posting it and it turned out well both times. No reason you can’t assemble this ahead of time and refrigerate until the next day, or later that same day to cook. EVERYONE enjoyed it, … even the short people.

…and sadly for Kraft, any brand of basic ingredients will work…. even my organic salsa and sour cream. I would, however, suggest avoiding fat free dairy products. I have yet to have them perform well. ENJOY!!!

Oh No! I was tagged….
